After a successful campaign helped to literally kickstart production on the film adaptation of the fan-favorite 2008 Alterna Comics graphic novel, THE CHAIR  is taking to Kickstarter again to raise post-production funds and finish the film.

THE CHAIR follows the story of Richard Sullivan (Timothy Muskatell), an innocent man on death row, as he struggles to survive against a sadistic Warden (Bill Oberst Jr.) and his murderous crew of guards (Roddy Piper, Noah Hathaway, Zach Galligan, Derrick Damions, and Kyle Hester).  As Sullivan matches the brutality in the prison, his grip on reality starts to slip and he must confront his own horrifying past and the abusive mother (Naomi Grossman) that molded him into the man he is today.  The ensemble cast includes Ezra Buzzington, Jacob Banser, John Siciliano, Kin Shriner, Susan Eisenberg, Tomas Boykin, Robert Rhine, Joe Laurinaitis, Joseph Pilato, Zebadiah DeVane, Harley Burks, Christian Hutcherson, Michael Berthold, Andrew Marheineke, Brent Anthony, and Jack deLyra.

Filming on THE CHAIR wrapped on February 25th and it is currently in the editing stage as the Kickstarter campaigns hopes to raise funds to correct and enhance color and sound as well as provide an original score to the film.  Film festivals and horror and comic convention tours are also planned to help promote the film once it has been completed.

THE CHAIR is directed by Chad Ferrin, with cinematography by Christian Janss and production design by Anthony Pearce.  A screenplay by Erin Kohut (editor of the graphic novel) and Peter Simeti (creator/writer of the graphic novel) was adapted for the film.
