Looks like Oscar nominee Laura Linney is playing a law enforcement officer in producer Michael Bay’s Ninja Turtles 2.

Spy photos posted by ComingSoon and this TMNT fan site reveal Linney on the New York set alongside Megan Fox, Stephen Amell and Will Arnett. As you can tell from the shots below, Linney’s sporting a badge and plainclothes cop/Federal Agent-style garb:

We’re going to take an educated guess here, but seeing as how Tyler Perry co-stars as mad scientist Baxter Stockman in the sequel perhaps Linney plays Agent Bishop.

John Bishop was a character in the 2003 animated series who ran the Earth Protection Force and allied himself with Baxter Stockman. He experimented on aliens, but ultimately had a redemptive arc. It’s possible the character could have been reimagined here as a female or that Linney plays a new character modeled after Agent Bishop.
