STAR WARS: EPISODE IX Will Give Fans a "Satisfying and Emotionally Resonant Conclusion"
[ad_1]
I know there’s been some talk regarding the Skywalker Star Wars saga and how and if it will continue after Star Wars: Episode IX. In regards to that, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy previously said:
“If the story warrants it, we’ll absolutely do it. If it actually inspires new ideas, then we’ll probably head in that direction. We just don’t know yet.”
If anyone knows, where the saga is headed, it’s director Colin Trevorrow, and he in a recent interview with Screen Rant, he says that Episode IX will offer a conclusion, and he says that conclusion will satisfy the fans.
“The process of Star Wars began way back in August of 2015 when I looked at what J.J. and Rian had done and I’m very fortunate that I’m surrounded by some really, really brilliant producers and brilliant creative minds – Kiri Hart and the Lucasfilm story group and my producer [Michelle] Rejwan and Kathy Kennedy and also J.J. and Rian, Larry Kasdan.
“I mean, these are the best minds available and everybody’s engaged in making sure this is the most satisfying and emotionally resonant conclusion that we can possibly deliver.”
That’s exciting to hear! I guess the saga, could in a way, continue after Episode IX, but it’s safe to say that it’s definitely going to bring an end to the Skywalker saga. I’m so interested in seeing how everything that was introduced in The Force Awakens is going to all tie together in the upcoming films and how it really connects to the saga as a whole.
Star Wars: Episode IX is scheduled to be released in May of 2019 so we’ve got a long way to go. In the meantime we have The Last Jedi coming out later this year!
