Major STAR WARS Character Said To Be Confirmed for HAN SOLO Standalone Film

A few months ago, there was speculation that a certain villain might be making an appearance in the Han Solo Star Wars spinoff, when the actor who played Darth Vader in Rogue One dropped out of a convention appearance, reportedly because he was filming a role in “the newest film in the Star Wars universe.” Lucasfilm never actually confirmed Wilding’s involvement in any Star Wars movie that was in production, and Wilding even said reports of his involvement were false. But now TheHashtagShow.com is reporting that everyone’s favorite dark lord of the Sith will be appearing in Ron Howard’s upcoming feature. They report:

“A source close to the production has revealed to us that someone—presumably not Wilding, given his pretty definitive statement that he isn’t involved—was on the set of Howard’s Han Solo reshoots in Darth Vader’s armor as recently as two weeks ago. Unfortunately, that’s pretty much all we can confirm. We don’t know how big of a role Vader will play in Han Solo; it could be nothing more than a brief cameo in a single shot; it could be a full scene with dialogue; it could be multiple scenes. We don’t know. The only thing we can say with confidence is that Darth Vader is making some kind of appearance in the film.

If this report is true, I think it is safe to assume that Vader will not be appearing too much in the movie.  Although he is one of the most beloved and iconic Star Wars characters, I think Lucasfilm will use Vader about as much as they did in Rogue One, if not less.

What do you think? How would you like to see Darth Vader used in this movie, if not at all? How big of a role do you think he’ll play?
