An Episode of The STAR WARS: DETOURS Animated Comedy Series Has Surfaced

Before Disney bought Lucasfilm, Seth Green was producing an animated Star Wars comedy series titled Star Wars: Detours.

The series explored what daily life is like in a galaxy far, far away. “There are no Empires striking back or attacking clones here. Instead, Star Wars Detours focuses on the universe’s regular folks and their everyday problems… which, to be fair, do frequently involve famous bounty hunters, crazed Ewoks, and even a Dark Lord of the Sith.”

There were 39 episodes completed before Disney bought Lucasfilm and there were another 62 scripts ready to go into production. These have all just been sitting on the shelf and I have no idea if this series will ever be released.

But, today we have an episode to share with you that has leaked! The episode is titled “Dog Day Afternoon” and the story follows 4-LOM and Zuckuss, who find themselves in over their heads when they try to rob Dexter Jettster’s diner on Coruscant. As you’ll see, the whole experience turns into a comedy of errors. The episode also features appearances from Lando Calrissian, Boba Fett, Jabba The Hutt, and more.

I’d definitely like to see more! This was enjoyable to watch and it seems like it would be a fun series! It’s a shame Lucasfilm isn’t doing anything with it.
