This is a beautifully made series filled with stunning visuals. I had a chance to watch the first episode at Comic-Con this summer and I loved it! As I watched it, all those fond memories I have of watching the original movie as a kid came flooding back. Luckily we don’t have to wait much longer to watch the full series!

The show is based on Jim Henson’s classic 1982 feature film The Dark Crystal. The story is set several years before the events of the original classic movie that many of us grew up watching. When three Gelfling uncover the horrific truth behind the power of the Skeksis, an adventure unfolds as the fires of rebellion are lit and an epic battle for the planet begins.”

Age of Resistance is being directed by Louis Leterrier (Now You See Me, The Incredible Hulk), who is also an executive producer on the project. The series is set to premiere this summer on Netflix on Friday, August 30th.
