Daniel Radcliffe Wants To Join GAME OF THRONES and Immediately Get Killed Off

Game of Thrones is known for casting amazingly talented British actors, but they’ve largely chosen to bring in older veterans like Jonathan Pryce or Ian McShane for roles on the show. But why not add a younger, but still very experienced actor to the ranks? Daniel Radcliffe, the former Harry Potter himself, has expressed interest in being part of the show — if only for a little while.

In an interview with Digital Spy, Radcliffe spoke about the freedom he currently has when choosing projects:

“I’ve recently read a couple of really good TV pilot scripts,” he said. “But then it’s signing on for seven years. Right now, I have a little bit of freedom. So if I read a script for something that’s filming next year, I don’t have to turn it down because I’m not available – which I did, for a long time.”

When asked if a shorter run on something like Game of Thrones was an option, he responded very enthusiastically:

“I would love to. If they want to just bring me in and f**king kill me, I would be so happy to do that.”

Do I actually think this is going to happen? Probably not, since seeing an iconic actor like Radcliffe might take Game of Thrones viewers out of the experience of watching the show and draw attention to the fact that we’re seeing Harry Potter in another fictional universe. But considering all of the ways that other famous actors have gotten involved in Star Wars recently, hiding in plain sight under pounds of makeup or covered in a costume, it’ll be fun to wonder if Radcliffe is lurking somewhere in the back of a crowd shot next season.
