This Live-Action Trailer For STAR WARS: BATTLEFRONT II Taps Into Our Nostalgia Emotions

A new trailer has been released for Star Wars: Battlefront II that I think Star Wars fans are going to love. It’s an incredibly fun live-action promo called “Rivalry” that really taps into our nostalgic emotions. It centers on a couple of Star Wars fans who take their Star Wars fandom to seriously epic levels as they try to outdo each other over the course of their lives. It starts with their Star Wars rivalry starting as kids and follows them into adulthood as they meet each other on the battlefield of the Star Wars: Battlefront II. It’s actually pretty damn charming watching their rivalry escalate. I think many of us can relate to it in a way because I have life-long friends who I will definitely be playing Star Wars: Battlefront II with when it’s released.

The game will bridge the gap between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. One of the main characters in the game is Iden Versio played by Janina Gavankar (True Blood) who is a commander of the Inferno Squad, which is an elite Imperial special forces group, who have vowed revenge on the rebels after witnessing the destruction of the second Death Star. According to the story, which was approved by the Lucasfilm story group and is canon, Palpatine has safeguards in place if he were to die, these safeguards were instructions on how the Empire should continue to be run.

I love that we are really going to get to see the inner workings of the Empire in this game. Star Wars Battlefront II will be available worldwide on November 17, 2017 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and on Origin for PC.
